David Fossas has an entrepreneurial background identifying market opportunities and launching strategic initiatives. He has been involved in virtually every aspect of running a content-focused business from investor relations, business planning, strategic planning, content strategy, development, financing, packaging, sales, licensing, distribution, marketing and communications. His experience spans traditional, digital and social media.

Currently, David is Senior Manager, Interactive at WCG – an integrated communications company. Here, he consults clients on social media, focusing on content strategy, engagement and innovation.

Previously, David was Director, Network Development at Big Fuel Communications – a pure play social media marketing agency. Here, David worked with the executive team to build three business units: (1) Brand Channel Management, which manages clients’ owned social channels, (2) Distribution, which manages relationships with a growing network of 7,000+ influencers, publishers and communities, leveraging those relationships to develop partnerships for clients, and (3) Product Development and Innovation, which focuses on emerging platforms and building proprietary technologies. Later, David became Director, Distribution for General Motors (Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC), developing and executing several successful campaigns that established the team’s next practices. David also executed successful campaigns for McDonald’s and Colgate Palmolive (Softsoap).

Prior to Big Fuel, David was Business Development Manager at Intrepid Pictures – an independent film finance and production startup with private equity and institutional funding. David led the acquisition and development of the “Skeleton Creek” series and “Thirteen Days to Midnight”, helped develop and package “The Cold Light of Day” co-financed and to be distributed by Summit Entertainment in 2012, and developed a business plan to raise Intrepid’s “Intrepid II” fund.

David began is career at International Creative Management and Endeavor Agency (now WME Entertainment) on teams representing award winning talent such as Guillermo del Toro, Robert Rodriguez, Baz Luhrmann and Danny Boyle.
